Prizes, Prizes, Prizes!
We really hope that Poker Underworld will be popular, because we’d love to give away some great prizes every month to our members. We’re currently ranking players by their chip stack, however we have bigger plans then that. Once the head to head challenge feature is ready, we’ll be able to do a lot of really fun things with tournament style head to head matchups. Because everybody will be ranked, we can start to rank players the way Tennis is ranked - not just by how much you win, but by WHO you win against. This way, sharks taking advantage of new players won’t dominate the website unless they can beat the good players.
Did I mention prizes? Yeah we hope to give away a lot of those. We’ll do lots of tournaments and hopefully be giving away prizes every week. Not only that but your prize winnings will be displayed on your profile page, so you can show off how much you’ve won long after you’ve received your Nintendo Wii.

The great thing about building a better poker website is that we can build tools to tell you things about your Poker game that you always wished you knew. Everybody has a style of play, certain cards they like, certain hands they shoot for (do you chase straights? flushes? do you hold pairs?) and it’s pretty easy to look at a player’s hand history and pull out their strengths and weaknesses. We’ve got a lot of plans for doing this, but we’ve started simple by allowing you to see your best performing hole cards, your worst performing hole cards, and how many of each hand rank you’ve won.
We’ve just added RSS feeds to every player’s profile page. Most people won’t understand what these are for, or why we’ve added them so I thought I’d write a little bit about it. Eventually I hope to create a whole page about RSS feeds to educate anybody who cares to learn about the magic of RSS.
We hope that Poker Underworld’s features will make it easy to connect with and learn about the other challengers on the site. Through the

We have completed the lobby, and it looks like the plan is to open up the registration and tables on Monday for testing (and playing). We are still working on the final layout for the tables and looking for any bugs that might still be crawling around on the site.
