New Monthly Competition
Hey everyone,
As the balances get higher and higher, I think it’s time to consider adding in a monthly reset. This means at the end of the month, your balance would be banked to your “grand total” and everyone would start off even at 2000 again.
There are a few reasons for this - making the game more competitive, giving new members a chance to compete, and even just that it gets hard to fit those huge balances on the screen after a while. Best of all, it lets us crown a Top 3 every month.
What does everyone think about this? We’d like to start out fresh in June. Your current balances will still go into your Grand Total and there will still be a lifetime Top 100 - but we think this would make the game more challenging and force the leaders to defend their titles every month.

i think that this is an excellent idea, and i commend you for it.there are a lot of good players here, and it would be interesting to see who the top 3 would be each month.yoy could also offer a prize for the top player, which would be added to his or her grand total.
I believe that it is unfair to others who have stride to be at top #1 u shouldnt do it

You will loose your best players.
That should have been “lose” not “loose” slight typo but the comment stands. It is not fair on players who have strived to build up their totals. If other players want to be in the top 3 just take out the leeders.
I SAY KEEP THE BALANCE AND KEEP CURRENT DAILY TOP TEN THEN YOUR CAN MAKE AN DAILY AVERAGE FOR EACH PLAYER? AND KEEP YOUR BANK SO YOU NEVER EVER HAVE TO RELOAD AND WHAT ABOUT THE FEW WHO HAVE NEVER RELOADED WE SHOULD GET MORE STANDING RIGHT?

The goal right now is to make a change that would make the game more competitive and to allow for a recurring prize every month.
In my monthly reset idea, everybody would still keep their current chips as their “lifetime total”, so they’d still keep their ranking on the lifetime top 100.
The reason for banking the money at the end of the month is that even if I did a monthly or weekly Top 10 using just the wagers and winnings from the current month, the leaders would always have a huge advantage because they are playing higher stakes.
I definitely do not want to penalize the top players on the website or force them to play low stakes and work their way back up after working so hard for the big balances - but at the same time if we don’t make some sort of change we can never give away prizes and have a real competition here.
You could always use the sitngo to give out prizes. You can pick a date and have a multi table touney. Thats 1 option I can think of.
Would it be viable to limit people with more chips to higher stake tables to stop them going on the smaller ones and hustling the newby’s?
Then they also stand to lose more and get knocked off their perch.
So long as there’s a lifetime chart I dont see how anyone can complain, in fact it should be a welcome challenge for top players, this is supposed to be fun after all. the only problem I can see is overcrowding on the small tables at the start of the month but I’m sure you’ll work round that if necessary.
